Level Descriptions

FUN LEAGUE

Description:  Open to both boys and girls. Fun League may be known as T-ball to a lot of organizations. We don't call it that because we work on both hitting off of a tee and hopefully almost all coach pitch by the end of the year.   Fun League will be split into teams and teams will rotate between hitting, batting, base running &  catching stations for the first few weeks and then end the season with some games!   Plan on 2 nights a week, throughout the month of June.  Typically we try for Sunday & Wednesday evenings, but more specific schedules will include actual dates.  

Registration Fee: $65

DEVELOPMENTAL

Girls & Boys - Ages 6 & 7 - Most Kindergarten & First Graders at the time of registration. (Must be 6 by April 30th - but we do allow summer birthdays to move up with their grade)

Registration Fee: $95

Description:  Our Developmental age group is coach pitch and a tee only if needed.  Games typically are played in Cloquet (Braun Park) and Chub Lake.  Games are usually Tuesday & Thursday nights, starting in June, with practices often on Sunday evenings. More specific schedules will be issued at a later date with actual dates. 

MINORS (formerly known as Rookies)

Players ages 8 & 9 - Most Second & Third Graders at the time of registration. (Must be 8 by April 30th - but we do allow summer birthdays to move up with their grade)

Registration Fee: $125

Description: Open to both boys and girls.   Our Minors age group is the first try at player pitch.  Players will be evaluated in March or April and teams will be split up with even abilities. This age group really is of the age where practice / instruction is so important so we do an in house league so that players will get many more ball touches, versus a mostly game format which provides few ball touches.  We will start the week with a Sunday practice open to all teams, and will be run in station format allowing kids to get many reps at things like hitting, fielding, pitching, etc.  Games / practices will be held Tuesday and Thursday nights.  Games will start in approximately mid-June.  You team will have one to two games / week. More specific schedules will be issued at a later date with actual dates.  

MAJORS

Players ages 10 & 11 - Most fourth & fifth graders at the time of registration. (Must be 10 by April 30th - but we do allow summer birthdays to move up with their grade)

Registration Fee: $135

Description:  Players will be evaluated in March or April. We play as part of the Quad Cities League, so games can be in Esko, Cloquet, Proctor, Duluth, Alborn, and others.  Games are usually Monday & Wednesday nights, starting in late May, with practices often on other evenings. More specific schedules will be issued at a later date with actual dates.  

MODIFIEDS (13U)

Players ages 12 & 13 - Most sixth & seventh graders at the time of registration. (Must be 12 by April 30th - but we do allow summer birthdays to move up with their grade)

Registration Fee: $145

FULL FIELD (15U)

Players ages 14 & 15 - Most eigth & ninth graders at the time of registration. (Must be 14 by April 30th - but we do allow summer birthdays to move up with their grade)

Registration Fee: $210

Description:  Players will be evaluated in March or April. We play as part of the Quad Cities League, so games can be in Esko, Cloquet, Proctor, Duluth, Alborn, and others.  Games are usually Tuesday & Thursday nights, starting in late May, with practices often on other evenings. More specific schedules will be issued at a later date with actual dates.
