Esko Freeze Travel Baseball

Esko Freeze Baseball is a traveling team organization run under the Esko Youth Baseball umbrella.

Travel Team baseball is known to have a higher level of competitiveness than recreational baseball. Players considering travel team baseball should be made aware of the following:

• Most travel teams will be scheduled to play 3-4 tournaments beginning in June through early August. 
• Most age levels will have up to 3 tournaments in the Duluth area while other tournaments may be located throughout Minnesota or some border cities.
• Although all tournaments are on weekends, many tournaments include Friday day games.  
• Travel Team baseball has added costs above recreational. It can incur costs from higher level tournaments, more practice time, and travel expenses.   
• Playing time is looked at differently and requires a balance of ability, commitment, and hard work.
• There is an increased chance for high level development. Players looking to play in high school and beyond should seriously consider joining a travel team.
• You will be required to try out, will be evaluated, and will be placed on a team according to ability and commitment to the schedule.
• Teams will be available at ages 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U & 13U levels if the levels have enough kids to make a team and a coach interested in coaching.

Registration for Esko Freeze Travel baseball is only open to Esko Youth Baseball players who participate in our recreational baseball program. Registration for that opens on February 1 and it will include the opportunity to indicate your interested in being evaluated for Esko Freeze travel baseball. No separate registration is required.

Esko Freeze coaches will be selected by the Esko Freeze Subcommittee and the Esko Youth Baseball Board of Directors will approve the slate of coaches prior to the season. Please follow the l below if you're interested in being considered. Applications are due on January 5, 2025.
